The Tenth Annual RA Layton Lecture will be held on Tuesday 6 October, 2009, in Central Lecture Block 4 at UNSW.
Our guest speaker, Joyce DiMascio, Head of Business Events Australia, will speak on the challenges of marketing Australia as a business events destination in an increasingly cluttered and competitive marketplace.
The Business events sector is widely recognised as one of the most lucrative sectors of the tourism industry. In an increasingly competitive international marketplace, what is Australia’s brand proposition in business events? Learn from ‘National Tourism Legend’ Joyce DiMascio who has been leading Business Events Australia’s work to position Australia as a sustainable business events destination.
The evening will begin with a reception from 6pm in the foyer of the Central Lecture Block Building, for all industry representatives, alumni and students attending - a great opportunity to meet and welcome back our Alumni and industry guests! This will be followed by the lecture and Q&A from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.
